Arbour, shelter from the noise (2021)

Arbour, shelter from the noise explores the melding of nature in the spaces that surround us, making use of analogue alternative processes to examine the seeming freedom felt in these spaces. The dissected polaroids leave us with a visual barrier, a cause to look closer, and invite a depth and expanse to the environment beyond. A seeming world within the print, as these natural spaces are to the spaces that surround them.

The peeking of unruly nature as it emerges from within these hidden worlds, parallel to that of the image and its barrier, invites one into the thought of a free and natural space beyond, a break from the noise of our otherwise ever-present lives.
